The College of Nursing at our university conducted the final practical exam for third-stage students in the Human Growth and Development course, in accordance with the approved curriculum, under the supervision of Lect. Dr. Shahzanan Hassan Badr and Asst. Lect. Ammar Abdul-Ilah Al-Ibrahimi.
The exam included evaluating the students based on a set of fundamental scientific tools and standards, most notably Growth Charts, the Denver Developmental Test, as well as Anthropometric Measurements.
The practical aspect also included field visits to Well Baby Clinics, along with visits dedicated to Nutritional Assessment, with the aim of enhancing the students' applied skills and linking the theoretical aspect with practical application.
The exam aims to measure the students' efficiency in practically applying theoretical concepts and to evaluate their ability to monitor children's growth and development using approved scientific tools and standards. This contributes to preparing nursing staff capable of providing integrated healthcare in accordance with academic and professional foundations.
