The Department of Student Activities at Al-Ameed University has launched a voluntary initiative entitled “My School (Madrasati)”, aimed at providing support and assistance to orphaned and underprivileged children with the beginning of the new academic year.
The initiative, organized by the Volunteer Work Division at the university in cooperation with its colleges, included the distribution of fully equipped school bags and various educational supplies to orphaned and underprivileged students. The event witnessed the participation of a delegation from the university’s administrative department directors and staff, as part of the university’s ongoing efforts to encourage these students to continue their education and to ease the burdens on their families.
This campaign comes within the framework of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research’s directives and its universities’ vision to enhance the spirit of social solidarity (takaful ijtimai), support students, and develop their skills and educational capabilities through purposeful voluntary initiatives.
