College of Dentistry Students Continue Their Clinical Training in Educational Clinics

Clinical training for fourth- and fifth-year students in the Department of Prosthodontics continues at the College of Dentistry at University of Al-Ameed, within the educational clinics that allow students to apply their academic knowledge and clinical skills through direct patient care.

setup includes diagnosing and treating cases of partial and complete tooth loss, restoring them using removable complete dentures, as well as removable and flexible partial dentures, thereby enhancing students' skills in the field of prosthodontic treatments.

During the training, students undergo complete stages of clinical workflow, beginning with patient examination, case evaluation, and treatment planning, followed by taking primary and final impressions, recording jaw relations, selecting and arranging artificial teeth, conducting clinical trial fittings, and concluding with delivering dental prostheses, following up with patients, and making necessary adjustments.

The training is executed under the direct and continuous supervision of the Head of the Department of Prosthodontics, Asst. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Hussein Mahmoud Al-Sharbati, with the participation of department faculty members Asst. Lect. Hashim Abd Awn and Asst. Lect. Duaa Subhi, to monitor students, oversee clinical work stages, and ensure the application of approved academic and professional protocols and standards.

This training comes as part of the college's dedication to developing the clinical competence of its students, enhancing their practical experience in managing various prosthodontic cases, and preparing them to deliver dental treatments based on rigorous scientific and professional foundations.
