The President of al_ameed University participates in a scientific committee

Prof. Dr. Muayad Al-Ghazali, President of the University of al_ameed , participated in a scientific committee to discuss a master's thesis at the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Babylon; On Thursday morning, corresponding to 7/23/2020, a graduate student (Ahmad Danbous Abis Al-Husseini) took part in the biochemistry branch, on the Zoom meeting electronic platform, in the presence of the dean of the college, Prof. Dr. Safaa Sahib Naji Al-Ghazali, and the head of the branch, Professor Maha Fadel Smeisim, and the decision of the branch Assistant Professor Dr. Badr Al-Awadi, and a number of lecturers and graduate students in the branch of chemistry and life chemistry, and the title of the thesis was
(Oxidative stress, anti melanocyte and anti tyrosinase antibodies levels in vitiligo patients' groups treated by glucocorticoid vs narrow band phototherapy in Babylon Province).

The discussion committee consisted of Prof. Awda Mazal Al-Zamili as Chairman and membership of Prof. Dr. Abdul Sami Hassan Al-Taie and Assistant Professor Dr. Zeina Saeed Al-Fadhli and Prof. Dr. Moayad Omran Al-Ghazali as Supervisor Member and Prof. Dr. Wissam Amin Awad as Supervisor Member

The student explained during his thesis that the aim of the study is the relationship between oxidative stress and autoimmune antibodies and vitiligo patients who were previously treated with glucocotiquids and small-scale radiation in Babil Governorate
The study included (150) patients, whose ages ranged between (60-8) years, and the study participants were divided into 100 patients with vitiligo and 50 healthy people as a control group
The patients were further divided into two groups. Depending on the type of treatment used, a serum sample was used to measure the efficacy of the Cloisonase Peroxidase enzyme using the spectrometer method, and to measure the concentration of anti melanocyte & anti tyrosinase antibodies levels using the ELISA method

The study concluded that Anti melanocyte & Anti tyrosinase Antibodies level has an effective role; It showed an increase in these antibodies in vitiligo patients and was of high statistical significance
After extensive scientific discussion, The discussion professors praised the student's effort during the completion of the study, and the supervisors were also praised for choosing the subject of the study
The letter was accepted because it fulfills the criteria for accepting university theses at a satisfactory degree
