The Dean of the College of Nursing, Prof. Dr. Diaa Kareem Al-Bayati, and the Associate Dean for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ridha Mohammed Lafta, received a delegation from Al-Kafeel Specialist Hospital headed by the Hospital Director, Dr. Jassim Al-Ibrahimi, accompanied by his assistant for nursing affairs and the director of the Training and Development Center, to discuss horizons of joint scientific and practical cooperation between the two institutions.
The meeting featured a discussion on several important pillars aimed at enhancing the level of cooperation between the two sides. The meeting focused on preparing advanced training plans that contribute to developing the nursing staff working at Al-Kafeel Hospital, which will positively reflect on the quality of health services provided.
The two sides also addressed mechanisms for updating the clinical training of the College of Nursing's students within the hospital, in accordance with the latest approved international standards in the nursing profession, ensuring the preparation of nursing cadres who possess the scientific competence and applied skills that meet the requirements of the labor market.
The two parties agreed to launch a package of qualitative development projects, which are expected to commence implementation following the conclusion of the final examinations for the current academic year, in a step reflecting the keenness of both institutions to enhance integration between academic and practical domains.
The Deanship of the College emphasized that this visit comes within the framework of The University of Alameed's directives to build bridges of cooperation with leading health institutions, thereby contributing to the development of the healthcare and nursing sectors in Iraq, and achieving an advanced educational and training environment that matches international standards.
