Under the patronage of the General Secretariat of the Al-Abbas’s Holy Shrine, and in the presence of its Legitimate Custodian, His Eminence Sayyed Ahmed Al-Safi (may his glory endure), along with esteemed members of its Board of Directors, Al-Ameed University participated on the evening of Friday, April 11, 2025, in the closing ceremony of the central graduation festival for Iraqi university students, “On the Path of the Moon” – Fifth Edition, held under the slogan: “From the Blessings of Karbala Springs Forth Giving,” an event organized annually by the Al-Abbas’s Holy Shrine.
Representing the university in this grand assembly was the University President, Professor Dr. Joudat Nouri Al-Jashami, accompanied by the Administrative and Legal Assistant to the University President, the Deans of the Colleges and their Assistants, Directors of Administrative Departments, and a number of university staff members. Additionally, there was an active participation of Al-Ameed University’s distinguished graduates of the current academic year.
The closing ceremonies, held at the Al-Ameed Educational Complex, witnessed extensive participation from various Iraqi universities, with approximately 64 universities from all Iraqi provinces and nearly 5,000 graduating students in attendance. The final segments of the ceremony featured a variety of activities, including poetry recitations, tributes to the families of martyrs, as well as honoring a select group of outstanding university students with high determination and excellence, all amidst a celebratory atmosphere underscoring the importance of supporting and empowering this vital segment of society.
Al-Ameed University’s participation in this annual event reaffirms its commitment to actively engaging in national initiatives aimed at supporting the students of Iraq.
