Under the patronage of the President of Al-Ameed University, Professor Dr. Jawdat Noori Al-Jashami, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Professor Dr. Uday Abdul-Ridha Hussein Al-Rikabi, the College of Pharmacy held its First Annual Scientific Conference this morning, Monday, April 21, 2025, to discuss the graduation research projects of fifth-year students for the academic year 2024–2025. The event was attended by the University President, the Assistant for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Maytham Hameed Al-Qanbar, and the Assistant for Administrative and Legal Affairs, Professor Dr. Mushtaq Kareem Abdul-Rahim, along with an elite group of faculty members from the college.
The conference commenced with the recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an, followed by the reading of Al-Fatiha in tribute to the souls of Iraq’s martyrs, after which the Iraqi National Anthem and the Anthem of the Al-Abbas Holy Shrine (Nasheed Al-Abaa) were played.
The Dean of the College of Pharmacy delivered a speech on this occasion, welcoming the attendees and congratulating the graduating students. He praised the distinguished academic level of the presented research projects, describing them as a true reflection of the diligent efforts exerted by the students under the guidance of their professors. He emphasized that these research endeavors represent a qualitative addition to the scientific body of knowledge in the field of pharmacy, as they address contemporary health challenges through innovative approaches. He affirmed the unwavering commitment of the University Presidency and the College Deanery to supporting the path of scientific research, lauding the dedication and contributions of the students, and wishing them a bright academic and professional future.
The conference proceeded with the commencement of the graduation research discussion sessions for the fifth-year students, supervised by specialized academic committees comprised of the college’s professors. These committees commended the high quality and scientific merit of the presented research projects.
