A Scientific Symposium at the College of Basic Education for Girls Discusses Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder in Children

The College of Basic Education for Girls at our university organized a scientific symposium titled "Developmental Disorders in Early Childhood: Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder as a Model." It was presented by Lect. Dr. Ali Kareem Abd, in the presence of a number of the college's female students.

The symposium addressed the definition of developmental disorders in early childhood, focusing on Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), its most prominent causes and symptoms, and its impact on the child's behavior and academic achievement. Furthermore, it touched upon the most important educational and psychological methods for dealing with children affected by this disorder, methods for its early diagnosis, and mechanisms for supporting them within the family and educational institutions.

The symposium witnessed interaction from the female students through asking questions and making interventions. The lecturer emphasized the importance of raising awareness of these disorders among teachers and parents due to its effective role in supporting children and improving their ability to adapt and learn.
