Under the patronage of the Chairman of the Education and Higher Education Authority at the Holy Al-Abbas Shrine and member of its Board of Directors, Prof. Dr. Abbas Rashid Al-Dadda Al-Moussawi, and under the supervision of the President of Al-Ameed University, Prof. Dr. Joudat Nouri Al-Jashaami, the activities of the second day of the Second Annual General Conference of the University commenced on the morning of Wednesday, September 17, 2025. The session was attended by the Deputy Secretary-General of the Holy Al-Abbas Shrine, Eng. Abbas Mousa Ahmad, the University’s Vice Presidents, Deans of Colleges, faculty members, and administrative staff.
The first session began with a blessed recitation from the Holy Qur’an, followed by a Qur’anic lecture entitled: “Knowing the Greater Truths Is the Path to Building Higher Objectives and Inspiring a Strong Sense of Responsibility”, delivered by Dr. Ali Hamad Al-Kalkawi.
Subsequently, the University President delivered a speech on the occasion of the College of Nursing receiving full, unconditional programmatic accreditation — an achievement he described as the fruit of collective efforts and team spirit. He noted that the College of Nursing ranks first among private colleges and second among all nursing colleges, both governmental and private, in Iraq, having received a very advanced evaluation. He also expressed hope that the University’s other colleges would soon follow the path of academic accreditation, confirming that their files have been submitted and are awaiting review by the national evaluation teams.
