Under the direct guidance of the University Presidency, the Director of the Department of Media and Government Communication at Al-Ameed University, Assistant Professor Dr. Jasim Mohsen Al-Sultani, participated in the first preparatory meeting to discuss the operational plan for the Lost Visitors’ Guidance Centers.
The meeting was held at the Al-Abbas Holy Shrine, headed by the Director of the Office of the Custodian of the Shrine and supervisor of the centers’ operations, Sayyed Jawad Al-Hasnawi (may his success continue).
The meeting included discussions on the work of the center’s stations, including the services provided by the Umm al-Baneen (peace be upon her) procession group at Al-Ameed University during the blessed Arbaeen Ziyarat.
The center comprises several service stations and a shelter center, organized in cooperation with the relevant departments.
Mr. Maher Khalid, a member of the Guidance Centers Committee, explained that the plan includes distributing tasks among departments, providing identification cards for children, deploying centers along key routes in Karbala, engaging over 650 trained volunteers, assigning an emergency contact number, and ensuring the availability of multilingual translators.
It was also announced that a coordination workshop will be held soon to finalize preparations and ensure the centers are fully ready to serve visitors arriving in Karbala from across Iraq and abroad during the Arbaeen Ziyarat.
