Our university received a high-level delegation from the Holy Abbasid Shrine, who extended their congratulations on the College of Pharmacy obtaining full program accreditation. This qualitative academic milestone enhances the college's standing, securing it second place among private colleges of pharmacy and seventh nationwide among both public and private colleges of pharmacy in Iraq.
The delegation included Mr. Leith Al-Mousawi, a member of the Board of Directors of the Holy Abbasid Shrine; Prof. Dr. Abbas Rashid Al-Deda Al-Mousawi, Head of the Higher Education and Education Authority and member of its Board of Directors; and Dr. Afdal Al-Shami, a member of the Board of Directors of the Holy Abbasid Shrine. They were welcomed by the President of The University of Alameed, Prof. Dr. Jawdat Nouri Al-Jashamy; the Assistant to the University President for Scientific Affairs, Asst. Prof. Dr. Lamia Abdul-Karim; the Assistant to the University President for Administrative and Legal Affairs, Prof. Dr. Mushtaq Karim Abdul-Rahim; and the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Prof. Dr. Uday Abdul-Ridha Hussein Al-Rikabi, alongside a number of the college's faculty members.
The delegation praised the achievement made by the College of Pharmacy, emphasizing that obtaining full program accreditation embodies the level of scientific rigor and commitment to academic quality standards. They noted that it marks an advanced step toward reinforcing the status of The University of Alameed in the field of pharmaceutical education, expanding opportunities for academic recognition, and supporting the college's outcomes to enhance its graduates' prospects in the labor market both within and outside of Iraq.
The visit witnessed an exchange of discussions regarding the importance of consolidating a culture of quality and academic accreditation, alongside the necessity of continuously developing educational programs in line with national and international standards. This ongoing alignment contributes to elevating academic performance and achieving institutional excellence, reaffirming the mission of The University of Alameed to provide a rigorous university education that keeps pace with rapid developments across the higher education sector.
