Within the framework of its early preparations to commemorate the Arbaeen pilgrimage of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him), our university has commenced operations to prepare the Umm al-Baneen (peace be upon her) Complex to serve visitors. This falls under its annual program aimed at providing various forms of support and services to those arriving at the Holy City of Karbala.

The Supervisor of Medical Detachments at the Umm al-Baneen (peace be upon her) Complex, Asst. Prof. Dr. Jassim Mohsen Al-Sultani, explained that the preparation tasks included erecting service sites and equipping them to receive visitors, thereby guaranteeing the delivery of hospitality and healthcare services. This is in addition to setting up specialized centers for guiding lost persons, contributing to the provision of an integrated and safe service environment.

He indicated that healthcare services will be provided with the participation of professors and students from the colleges of Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, and Dentistry, and in cooperation with the detachment of the Maysan Health Directorate and the Iraqi Red Crescent Society. Furthermore, a female procession operating around the clock under the management of the volunteer Zainabiya sisters has been dedicated to delivering various services and care to the honorable female visitors.

Al-Sultani emphasized that serving the visitors of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) represents a humanitarian mission as well as a national and moral responsibility in which the efforts of institutions, personnel, and volunteers concert to provide the best services to the honorable visitors, and to commemorate this blessed occasion in a manner befitting its grandeur.
