The Continuing Education Center at our university concluded the activities of the training course entitled "Developing Arabic Language Skills in Administrative Drafting and Typographical Formatting." The course, which lasted for four days, saw the participation of representatives from the university's administrative departments as part of its programs aimed at developing administrative skills and elevating the level of institutional performance.
The course, in which lectures were presented by the Director of the Department of Media and Government Communication, Asst. Prof. Dr. Jassim Mohsen Al-Sultani, and the Director of the Continuing Education Center, Lect. Dr. Haider Hussein Al-Aaraji, witnessed the attendance of the Assistant to the University President for Administrative and Legal Affairs, Prof. Dr. Mushtaq Karim Abdul-Rahim, alongside a number of personnel and representatives from the administrative departments.
The course addressed specialized topics on the foundations of sound administrative drafting, grammatical and spelling rules, and common errors in the Arabic language. This was in addition to the mechanisms of typographical formatting for official correspondence, thereby contributing to standardizing the methods of preparing official letters and communications, and enhancing the quality of administrative work.
The course aimed to develop the participants' skills in preparing and drafting official correspondence in accordance with approved linguistic and administrative foundations. This, in turn, positively reflects on the efficiency of institutional performance and contributes to developing the administrative communication system within the university, reaffirming the university's keenness to invest in developing the capabilities of its administrative staff and elevating performance quality across various university operations.
