As part of the activities of the Third Al-Ameed International Conference for Medical Sciences, set to commence at the end of this week, Al-Ameed University inaugurated today, Monday (November 24, 2025), the medical book fair titled "Al-Ameed Medical Book Fair." Organized by the university's Central Library in its third edition, the fair witnesses wide participation from Iraqi university libraries, knowledge centers, and information centers specialized in the medical and scientific fields.
The Director of the Central Library at the university, Dr. Waseem Talib Mahdi, stated in a declaration to the university media that organizing the Al-Ameed Medical Book Fair aligns with the university's vision to support the scientific and knowledge movement. It aims to provide advanced research resources for researchers, students, and faculty, contributing to enhancing their research and academic skills.
He added that this annual event has become an important knowledge hub attracting specialists and those interested in the medical field, due to the reliable and modern sources it provides. These sources help develop scientific research and solidify academic output both inside and outside the university.
Mahdi pointed out that the fair featured hundreds of modern titles published by local, regional, and global publishing houses, covering multiple specializations in medical, health, and research sciences. The fair will continue throughout the conference days, allowing visitors to review and acquire the latest specialized scientific publications.
